Flooring Calculator & Detailed Estimate

Our flooring can be customized to your specific dimensions through laser cutting services, which are available for an additional fee. Alternatively, you have the option to cut the flooring to size on your own using a metal straight edge ruler, sharp utility knife with replacement blades, and WD-40 for lubrication. Please note that for custom cuts, we require client approval of the design drawing created by our CAD engineer prior to commencing production.

Things to Know Before Buying Gym Flooring

Our professional-grade interlocking rubber fitness flooring tiles can be precisely laser cut and beveled to fit any room size. The tiles are available in 4′ x 4′ and 6′ x 4′ sizes. For commercial or home gym settings, we recommend utilizing at least ½” thick rubber tiles with interlocking capabilities and a non-slip fitness top surface, featuring a 25% color fleck. This provides a durable, safe and visually appealing option for your fitness space.

Thickness

Flooring comes in ⅜“, ½”, and ¾” thicknesses. The 3/8” is suitable for light exercise, while the ½” thickness is commonly used in university and high school gyms. The ¾” thickness is designed for powerlifting and horse stall applications, providing additional durability and support.

Color

Our flooring options include both black and various colored options. We highly recommend a 25% fleck of color within the rubber, as this effectively conceals any dirt or footprints. It is worth noting that utilizing a solid black flooring option may not be the most suitable choice, as it can appear dirty due to dust and footprints.

Types

Our rubber flooring options are available in both roll and interlocking tile formats. We recommend the interlocking tile option as it does not require adhesive, remains stable, does not shift, and is easily portable. The roll format, on the other hand, requires the use of adhesive or duct tape for installation and can be challenging to maneuver and install, as well as prone to shifting and overlapping.

Traction Top

Our fitness flooring features a patented traction top surface, which eliminates the risk of slipping due to sweat or water spills. Rubber flooring, as a petroleum-based product made from reconstituted tires, can present a liability and fall hazard when it becomes slippery. To mitigate this, our unique process removes oil and odor from the top layer, while also creating a diamond grid pattern that improves traction. This process ensures that our flooring provides a safe and secure surface for physical activities.
